New Products Review: Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte, e.l.f. Poreless Primer, & More

Hello World! So last week, I picked up a few new products, so I decided to try them out on camera in tutorial form!  See the video below, or on my youtube channel, Kerin's Korner! (I'll probably be posting more makeup videos there in the future so feel free to subscribe!)

The full reviews of all the products I got are below, including first impressions and what I thought after continuous wear.

L'oreal Infallible Pro - Matte (Cocoa 112) - 4/5 stars

On first impression, I really liked this foundation. It was a fairly good match and had really good coverage, without feeling heavy on the skin. It had a true matte finished as advertised, so that was a plus. As I continued to wear it throughout the day, it think it held up pretty well. It claims to a 24 hr foundation, but I don't know about that. After a couple of hours, I could start to see some separation, but it definitely lasted 8+ hours, so that's good enough for me.  The only drawback for this foundation is that the undertones were a little too red for me, but when I added a more golden powder on top, it balanced it out nicely.

When I first tried this primer, I wasn't sure how I'd like it. When I first put it on, I noticed it was very silky and smooth, and felt great on my skin, but I was like ' I have oily skin so this is not going to work because it's too slippery.' But I was wrong! It has a satin-like finish, but it sits on top of your skin, so you have a smooth even base, and it actually keep me fairly shine-free throughout the day! And it's only $6 so I would definitely buy it again!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush (paarty) - 5/5 stars

So first off, this isn't actually a new product I got because it's not actually mine. 😊It's my sister's, but it was my first time trying it so... anyway. I liked this blush well enough. It had good color payoff, even on dark skin, and it's a nice simple pink color, that you could wear everyday. I didn't wear for 12 hours to see if it does in fact last 12 hours as it claims, but the color didn't fade for the 8 or so hours I did have it on.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (Dolce Vita) - 4/5 stars

I really like this lip pencil and this color. Dolce Vita is a dusty rose color, so I think it looks really good on all skin types. It's a 'your lips but better' color, so it could be worn everyday. I like the application and color payoff. It has a really creamy texture, but I found after a bit a wear, it was actually kind of drying, so make sure you really moisturize your lips before applying it.

Honestly, everything I said about the previous products holding up and lasting throughout the day could have been due to this spray, but I don't know. However, this spray definitely did help with transference, and when you use it, it makes your makeup look more 'lived in', and not like you just put a full face of makeup on. The only drawback is this spray is $17, which I think it pretty steep for the drugstore, and it didn't do anything that exceptional, but overall it's still a good setting spray.
