Summer's Over

Hello World!

I am writing this post from the airport before I board the plane to take me home - back to H-town! This means my summer is officially over.  And it's a little bittersweet. On the one hand, I'm excited to go home and see my family, but on the other hand I'm going to miss my friends and colleagues and the work I was doing. And then there's the fact that I start school on Monday, which I am never looking forward to. :(

But this summer has been a journey, and I was supposed to keep you guys updated, but there wasn't time. I guess I could've made time, but I decided I'd rather spend more time experiencing than writing about it.  Which is very unlike me, but I think I've made the most of my few months here in the DC area. I had the opportunity to do some amazing work that I've really enjoyed. I made friends that I'll actually try to  keep in touch with.  And I had fun!  This summer has been incredible, and my only regret is that  I didn't get a chance to go to the African American history museum. But there's always next time.
So in conclusion DC, I love you! You've treated me well, and I'll be back.
But Houston, here I come!

Au Revoir,
~Kerin
