Tuedays with Kerin: Sleep & Relaxation

Happy Tuesday!

I'm feeling absolutely fantastic this morning! I had a restful 6 hours of sleep last night, with a solid 90 minutes of deep sleep – a rare feat for me that I'm over the moon about. Lately, I've been hitting the hay earlier, and it seems to be doing wonders for my sleep quality. While I've been relying on my trusty melatonin gummies, I'm contemplating giving them a break tonight. As we dive headfirst into the sleep segment of my 30-day wellness challenge, I'm optimistic that my sleep patterns will only continue to get better from here on out.

Reflecting on last week, it started off a bit lackluster, but things took a turn for the better towards the end. A last-minute online early screening of  The Idea of You on Wednesday night brought unexpected joy to my day – Anne Hatha-slay truly never fails to impress! The resurgence of romantic comedies has me excited! Speaking of, I've got my sights set on catching  Anyone But You when it hits Netflix this weekend.

Shifting gears to my fitness journey, I decided to dial it back last week as I wrapped up my 5K training, given that I wasn't feeling my best. I opted for a light run on Friday and a gentle upper body session. Yesterday marked the start of my 10K training phase, and I couldn't be more pumped. My primary focus is consistency and mastering the art of taking it easy on my Easy Runs to build my aerobic base.

The weekend was a blissful escape from the hustle and bustle. Saturday was all about indulging in some much-needed relaxation – I slept in, binged on ShxtsNGigs, and even managed to tackle my hair after finally giving it a good wash on Friday! Ended the night with a Spooky Saturday with my brother, as we delved into the absolute ridiculousness that was Abigail. The movie took us on a rollercoaster of suspense and absurdity, but it was a delightful watch nonetheless. Sunday followed suit with a leisurely start, a movie date with my dad to watch The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, followed by lunch and a failed attempt at Rebel Moon Part 2. I ended with a cozy evening at home catching up on an episode of Tracker before calling it a night promptly at 10 pm. A weekend well spent in relaxation mode.

Until next week, stay fabulous!

Weekly Obsession: ShxtsnGigs was still dominating my time last week, and I can't seem to get enough of it!

What I'm Reading: I'll be real with you - I'm not sure if I'll ever finish  The Idea of You. While I absolutely loved the movie adaptation, the changes made from the book so far have actually enhanced the storyline for me. I might just fall into the category of those who believe the movie is better the book.

What I'm Watching: My attention is still hooked on Shogun and Tracker, with the season finale of Shogun airing tonight! Last week, I also delved into the first episode of Reacher. As much as I enjoyed it, I'm not sure if I'll finish it - Amazon Prime shows don't always keep me engaged till the end.

Au Revoir,
