Makeup Tutorial: 15 Minute Full Face

 Hello World,

I'm back for another Makeup Monday post, and today I will be breaking down my everyday makeup look that l wear to work. It's simple, professional, and most importantly quick. When I'm getting ready for work, I'm not trying to take a long time, because I don't want to get get up any earlier than I have to. I like to be up and out the door in no more than 45 minutes, so I have mastered this routine that takes no more than 15 minutes ( I have done this makeup look in as quickly as 7 minutes).  Without further ado, here is my 15 minute full face routine.

Step 1: Primer

Winky Lux Whipped Cream Primer, e.l.f. Porelesss Putty Primer
Just because we're moving fast, doesn't mean we should skip primer. Primer is important in helping you makeup last longer. I use it as the last step in my skincare routine ( I will go over current skincare routine in another post). For primer, right now I switch between the Winky Lux Whipped Cream Primer and the e.l.f.  Poreless Putty primer. Both of these primers are really good for smoothing pores and giving your skin a smooth base. But you can use any primer that is most useful for your skin concerns. Like in the summer,  I would use a mattifying primer, because my skin is more oily, and as we get deeper into the winter, I'll probably start using a more moisturizing primer, since my skin is usually a little drier in the winter. For application, just apply a quick thin layer. I like to focus my primer in my t-zone, but I apply all over my face.

Step 2: Concealer

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer
I apply concealer before foundation, because I will be using a powder foundation. I apply under my eyes, along the bridge of my nose, and on my chin. Blend it out quickly, but it doesn't have to be perfect, because I'll apply foundation over it, so it can cover up any harsh lines or unblended areas. Right now, I using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer

Step 3: Foundation

Maybelline SuperStay Powder
I apply foundation all over my face, including where I applied concealer. Powder foundation is really what makes this routine so quick, because it's easy to blend, and you don't have to set it, like you would with a liquid foundation. Right now, I'm using the Maybelline SuperStay Powder Foundation.

*Step 4: Eyebrows *

This is an optional step, but I just can't do my makeup without doing my eyebrows. Now, I don't do anything special. I just use an eyebrow pencil to fill any gaps in my brows, so they look a little fuller and darker, and then I set it with a little eyebrow gel. Currently using the combo of the Maybelline Ultra Slim Brow pencil and Fast Sculpt Brow gel.

Step 5: Blush, Bronzer or Highlighter

Next, I apply blush, bronzer or highlighter, but never all three. I just use one to add extra dimension to my face. I usually reach for bronzer to chisel out my cheeks, but blush and highlighter will work just as well for adding that little extra to your makeup look.  For bronzer, I use the Fenty Sun Stalk'r bronzer in the shade Mocha Mami. For blush, I use the Mellow Cosmetics blush in the shade Peach (Use Code MELLOW15 to get 15% off) , and for highlighter, I use the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Rose Gold.

Step 6: Setting Spray

Next, I just quickly apply a makeup setting spray, so all the powders I applied to may face can settle into my skin. I've been using the Rare Beauty Always An Optimist 4-in-1 Prime and Set Mist. See full review of Rare Beauty

Step 7: Mascara

Smashbox Superfan Mascara

Final step, apply mascara to top and bottom lashes.  That's right, no eye shadow, no eyeline, and definitely not lipstick, because uh...duh face mask! But mascara will open up your eyes and complete the look. Lately, I've been loving the Smashbox SuperFan Fanned-out mascara
