3 = OK

4 = Solid

5 = Bomb

Acting/ Performance

Comments:
The voice actors provided great performances that really brought their characters to life, and Byrne and Gleeson were great in their roles as well.

Writing/Screenplay

Comments:
This film received a lot of criticism, after the trailer was first released, about the film being too "modern". But I thought the screenwriters did an excellent job of adapting the story for the modern family to enjoy. The writers attempted to cater to both kids and adults, and they were mostly successful.

Cinematography

Comments:
This film was beautifully made. It was literally like looking into a storybook.

Costume Design

Comments:
There was nothing particularly great or awful about the costume design, but each wardrobe was fitting for the characters.

Editing/Special Effects

Comments:
Peter Rabbit and family looked great! But somewhere there was a disconnect in the special effects team when they were making the other animals.

Sound/Music

Comments:
The music was one of those surprisingly bright spots of the film. Not only was the music catchy and enjoyable, each song was literally perfect for each scene. It was an incredible feat!

Overall Rating (average the rating numbers above)  - 4.3

Recommendation: Watch! 😀

I would recommend this film to families and people who like good honest fun! What I liked most about this film, was that it was funny without being inappropriate or uncomfortable, which I think is missing in so many children and family films to today. If you're looking for a good laugh, you should definitely check it out!
